Nano indentation
With a nano-indenter it is possible to measure E-moduli values in very small areas ( 50nm bis 1µ )2.
It is possible to determine mechanical properties of selected areas in heterogeneous materials, thin films or nano particles.
The example shows three nano-indentions in polystyrene latex particles with a diameter below 200nm.
